Meet modern-day goddess KALENE OLIVEIRA

 

FF: Tell us a little about yourself, and what you've been up to lately.

K:  I just recently moved to Orange County, CA and I'm still trying to adjust to everything. Southern California is truly great to live in. I miss my family and friends dearly back home in Virginia, but this is the best decision I've ever made. Living here and being so close to LA opens up so many doors for me. As a makeup artist and handbag designer, this is the place to be. I'm ready to work hard.

 

FF: Items inside your bag...

K: My iPhone,  a little makeup bag with my favorite items - - - Hypnose Lancome mascara; about five different lipglosses including a Victoria's Secret lip plumper; a beauty elixir by Caudalie because it is great for facial hydration; MAC blot powder; and Bobbi Brown blush, Kate Spade planner, wallet, Ray Ban sunglasses, Trident gum,  and a book I'm reading currently. That's about it.... I have a big bag!

 

FF: "I cannot live without..."

K: Black & White MILANO Cookies, LOL! I've been told I'm the one and only cookie monster. But if I were to pick anything else... my cell phone. We're talking about items here, right? I want to make sure I won't get in trouble for picking cookies or my iPhone, instead of my family or my significant other, who are dearest to my heart.

 

FF: The current song playing in your IPOD...

K: "All the Above" by Maino featuring T-Pain

 

FF: Your current perfume scent is...

K: Well, since I own more than 20 fragances, my current favorite ones are: Chanel Chance "Eau Fraiche", and at night, I like to wear Chloè by Chloè.

 

FF: Your favorite accessory is...

K: My watch by Michele, silver with diamonds. :) I’m a girl who loves sparkles!

 

FF: Your favorite piece of clothing is...

K: Dark blue skinny jeans.

 

FF: Your style icon or inspiration...

K: I don't think I have one in particular, but I love Jessica Sarah-Parker. I also love Katie Holmes’s classy and simple style. And from our younger days, Twiggy.


FF: Your favorite decade of fashion is...

K:  The 60's! I love the clothes, the makeup, and the hair. Supermodel Twiggy is my favorite!

 

FF: "I would never be caught wearing..."

K: Leopard or anything animal print --- the pants or tights are especially awful.

 

FF: Your shopping philosophy...

K:  You don't have to buy it just because it's on sale. Find the items you can put together with what you have at home already. Simplicity goes a long way.

 

FF: Describe your personal style.

K: I would have to say that it is simple yet sophisticated. I like basic items which I can mix and match. Also, I don't believe in matching shoes with your handbag or belt.


FF: "Confidence is..."

K: Confidence is the key to every success. When you are confident with your own self, people see it and people acknowledge it. When you believe & love yourself, the sky is the limit. (FF note: And our beloved Kalene sure is up above the sky with the stars as a testament to her confidence, charm, and character!)
